The Opportunity
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? IPC Health is seeking a creative and innovative Grade 2 Child Psychologist to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary Child Health service.
In this role, you will provide assessment and intervention services to children from birth to school entry, collaborating with a diverse team that includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, and Allied Health Assistants, all led by a committed Team Leader. Our focus is on delivering family-centred care through clinical and telehealth appointments, both individually and in groups, as well as within our community-based supported playgroup.
Based at our Hoppers Crossing and Altona Meadows campus locations, this position is a Part Time ongoing role and is classified as Grade 2 under the Psychologists, Dietitians, Audiologists And Pharmacists (Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services) Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026.
You will make a difference by
- Working collaboratively within the team to deliver meaningful support to communities we serve, including developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs in accordance with organisational priorities and expectations.
- Using your expertise and skills to competently deliver a range of safe, effective, and evidence-based health services including assessment, health education and therapeutic management to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Delivering services using a family-centred approach within a social model of health ensuring children and families feel heard, understood, and supported.
To succeed you will need:
- Qualified Psychologist with valid AHPRA registration (preferably a master’s degree).
- Minimum of three years of experience working in Psychology, including at least two years in Paediatric Psychology.
- Proven ability to deliver best practice assessment, treatment and support to children and families, including those from diverse backgrounds (ie refugee, culturally and linguistically diverse, families experiencing adversity).
- Strong collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams, along with excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to learn, seek support from colleagues, and actively engage children and families in service provision.
- Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and valid driver’s licence.
