By year 2035, we anticipate that the total population served will be approximately 1.2 million.The OpportunityThe Acute Respiratory Clinics (ARCs) have a growth opportunity for casual Clinical Workforce team members to become part of a passionate and creative team, playing an integral clinical support role in the C-19 initiative. Within this diverse and fast paced role, you will perform and provide patient care within a PPE environment by undertaking triage, screening clients for COVID-19 and respiratory illness to ensure appropriate care. Working within an established PPE zone and under current DHHS guidelines, you will support and provide advice to clients around respiratory illness management including isolation requirements; identify and manage acute illness, refer and transport for tertiary care as needed.Our ARC services are provided across west of Melbourne with numerous testing sites accessible to our community. The role requires flexibility to travel to these sites and availability including weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for tertiary students in their final years in one of the following disciplines: Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse (minimum 2nd year), Medical (minimum 3rd year), Paramedics (minimum 3rd year). About YouAs a strong communicator, you will be able to build rapport with clients and identify their needs. You will be a tertiary student studying your final years in one of the following disciplines: Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Registered Nurse, Medical, Paramedics. You will have experience working with diverse communities providing social and mental health support. Experience in COVID-19 testing and use of PPE is advantageous.
