By year 2035, we anticipate that the total population served will be approximately 1.2 million.The OpportunityWith access to a multidisciplinary team as part of the Child Health team, you will be highly motivated, energetic and team orientated Child Psychologist providing developmental psychology assessment and management services to local children from birth to school entry. Applying your clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, you will make a difference in helping children experiencing behaviour, learning or concentration challenges. Service delivery can vary from individual assessment and therapy, primarily on campus, with a mix of groups and individual sessions, consultation may also occur via telehealth at kindergartens and childcare centres (as appropriate). You will become a part of the wider Allied Health Services team and opportunity to work closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologist and other health professionals in delivering support and services to your clients. Based at our Altona Meadows and Hoppers Crossing campuses, this role is flexible seeking a 0.6FTE - 0.8FTE Part Time Fixed Term (Funding based activity – Project) until 30 December 2021. This position is classified as a Grade 2 Psychologist offering $45 - $50.68 per hour under the Victorian Community Health Sector (Audiologists, Dietitians, Pharmacists & Psychologists) 2018-2021. You will make a difference byProviding safe and effective services to achieve positive outcomes.Contributing to quality service improvements leading to improved success for our teams and consumers.Using your expertise and skills to competently deliver a range of evidence-based health interventions.Providing direct service to paediatric clients and their families, including health education, therapeutic management, utilising a family-centred approach.Collaborating with other child health team members to develop, implement and evaluate primary care programs and services in accordance with organisational priorities and expectations.To succeed, you will needTertiary qualification in Psychology with minimum two years’ experience in delivering Developmental Psychology services at a grade two level. Relevant postgraduate qualification desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of services to the community.Demonstrated capacity to embed best practice that is client focused and family centred in the assessment, treatment and case management of individual clients and groups.Recent clinical experience working with people experiencing disadvantage, refugee, Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Interpreters.Current and valid AHPRA registration, Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence.What next?If you are passionate, creative and want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.
