In collaboration with local kindergarten educators and families, you will be assisting to enhance their capacity to support children achieve developmental outcomes. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be working closely with the team's Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. Within this role, you will be delivering in-service training, providing case consultations and ongoing support for educators and families. This is an excellent opportunity for a Grade 2 Psychologist to work within the community health sector focussing on child development.Based at Taylor's Hill location, this Grade 2 Child Psychologist opportunity is 0.6FTE Part Time Fixed Term (Funding based activity - Project) until December 2021, offering $45.01-$50.68 per hour. The role is classified under the Victorian Community Health Sector (Audiologists, Dietitians, Pharmacists & Psychologists) Multi-Employer Enterprise Agreement 2018 â2021. You will make a difference byWorking collaboratively with the School Readiness Team to plan service delivery within services across Brimbank Melton area.Building the capability of educators and families through coaching, modelling, group training, case consultation support and other discipline specific servicesProvide allied health support to kindergartens and to families and communities to achieve their goals in relation to the communication and wellbeing of children.Reflecting and evaluating supports to enhance outcomes.Providing supports through telehealth or travelling to services in Brimbank and MeltonTo succeed, you will needTertiary qualification in Psychology with experience delivering Developmental Psychology services. Relevant postgraduate qualification desirable.Experience working in paediatric allied health, with experience working in a kindergarten setting an advantage.Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to competently develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the communication and wellbeing goals for children.Demonstrated ability and interest to work within the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence.
